They go from one
I am not
but today was different.
It just went from bad to worse.
Maybe I jinxed myself with the braggy post about how great they were yesterday, esp because they came off of a 9 day break-
(hey, if I was "jinxed" then someone should have given me a coke, or a pinch, or a poke- but I got nothing-
Zip.
Zilch.
Nada.
Nuthin'!
Let's see- where do I begin?
Oh, yeah, at the beginning..
First there was a Leadership meeting this morning-
don't get me wrong-
This is something you are chosen for. It's a privelege. It is a small nod of respect and admiration because of all that you do. It is a chance to make a difference.
It is EARLY, is what it IS! I have to be there an hour before school starts...
Not a big deal if I CHOOSE to do that- but my brain is expected to be "functioning" during this meeting...it was not.
We were supposed to work on our plan for our presentation over EDI Ch. 6 on the 12th.
(I may or may not have forgotten to read Ch 6- so I was worthless)
And I did what every person who is not prepared does-
I offered to take the notes.......
the person writing is usually not expected to talk too much because she's writing!!!
(I know- genuis, right? You totally have my permish to use that one at your next meeting)
And then apparently the cafeteria was serving a mixture of scrambled eggs and PIXIE STICKS for breakfast-
because they were WOUND up when they came in~ I was giving 2nd and 3rd warnings to some of them before announcements even started.
(and I am running on one hour of sleep less- they were on thin ice before they ever got their skates on!)
Then
I am testing for ORF and our Director of Curriculum for the district walks in with my Pal.
Usually not a big deal, but three of my lovies had turned their center into a weird version of tag/break dancing/recess/MMA Ultimate Fight and there was nothing I could do.
It was happening.
It was real.
(The rain in my Eyeore cloud is getting heavier by now).
Sidebar.....This Director guy, was my sophmore physical science teacher 25 years ago and I had THE BIGGEST TEACHER CRUSH ever....He had to know that the whole school did- and everytime I see him,I think "Ok, my last name is different, my hair is different, is there anyway he could possibly recognize me???"
So I am all like Daffy Duck when I have to talk to him anyway. And I always end up having to talk to him because of that Leadership thingy...it never fails, they always end up in my room- the big guys (gals sometimes)...
Maybe I should start slackin' and they won't want to visit me that much....
anyhoo....
FFWD to Specials....
Tues is Planning Meeting...so the whole team comes in (yeah, more people) and we talk about what is coming up.
We don't actually "plan" together. I wish we did.
I used to plan with my bestie in K...like actually...plan-plan...sad face....
I go to my mailbox after the meeting...there are 7,236 fliers and notes to send home- all say "send home today!"
And fundraiser prizes are in there....so they get all worked up when they get back and they see them....I guess the pixie sticks were also in the jell-o!!
Dismissal was just AWFUL-
after PPU left I actually turned out the lights and had them put their heads on their desks until we were called to dismiss.
I had to look in bags because someone
and just when I was heading to the last three, a cutie yells "Oh, I see it over there..."
She totally just put it there because she knew she was going to get busted.
I bought 20 travel soap containers for crayons to go in the caddies and today was the first day they used them and Miss Sticky Fingers wanted to take it home.....
There were 3 late buses. I had PPU duty after I put mine on the bus.
(My cloud is soooo dark.)
So I pack myself up and this is where I ended up within 10 mins of walking in the door:
But like a dummy I put some B&B soap in there (cause I wore the WMDs) and jets made the bubbles start to overflow, so I only got to soak- no massage....
(I think I saw lghtening in my cloud)
It has to be over, right?
Nope.
Get a load of this:
No, it's not what you are thinking...
I didn't have to have an organ transplant... (doesn't it look like an icky liver or a yucky lung?)
Well, it's not.
It's dinner.
Burnt dinner.
That would be a $20 roast that I let burn because I was so tired that I drifted off with my feet in the bubbles.
Oh, for the love of "bad ju-ju"!!
There is a slight possibility that tomorrow will be a *cough cough* sick day....me and my ju-ju need a break!!!
Hope your day was good and your dinner was yummy!!!

Hey, I just tagged you (I'm sorry}. If you don't have time - no big deal. Or modify your curriculum like I did...
